Friday, August 7, 2015 - Second notes on this wine from about 2 years prior. Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, fragrant & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, pineapples, pears with overtones of butterscotch/caramel, some floral notes, spices, minerals and vanilla and toasted oak in the background. Medium bodied with balanced, smooth textured & developed, rich, ripe fruit flavors of pineapples, apples, citrus notes of lemons/limes with butterscotch/caramel, spices, minerals and hints of vanilla bean and toasted oak. Long lingering finish. It may be at its peak although it may stay at this plateau for a few more years easily but doubt any further development would occur.
