That's also some huge clue about how this 29 year old Cab is carrying along. Barely any bricking and the only thing to really show for the age is the more sedate and lean palate. The fruit character is primary but the feel is drifting into secondary. Color is not. Darkly opaque still. Some tannin still. Goo acidity though there is some tartness. There is an odd sort of 'paint' thing lingering the background. Even overnight. I've noticed that in very young, fruit forward wines. Never in a wine so old. Almost no classic secondary Can notes. This is a fruit show. A tasty drink in any case. Nary a note of fade overnight. Remarkable how these live. Atypical yet still very good.
