Sunday, January 12, 2020 - Some below seem to have got unlucky. I tasted the 2000 with the owner 7 years ago at the vineyard and he advocated keeping the wines for a long period if you wanted to experience greater complexity associated with the tertiary development. It did not disappoint.
Dark almost purple elements in the glass, the nose is full without being overpowering. Long rich and full but with the fruit further integrated and mixing with nose to give the hedonistic feel that Burgundy lovers seek but is often missing. A touch of minerality and balancing acidity make this a fully fledged wine worthy of Grand Cru status were it on the other side of the the pond! Bravo Dick!
