Friday, June 3, 2011 - Really really good old world pinot. Very heavy on the brett, but in a way that adds to what I'd call "old world charm". Opaque garnet in the glass, feral nose, and a blend of delicate dark fruit, garrigue and mineral on the palate. A steal for $25 and, I would imagine, a reference point for Pinot drinkers that like to compare and contrast regions and styles. Not for all palates, but it certainly charmed mine.
