Thursday, April 18, 2019 - Decanted one hour. Medium body. Blackberry nose and licorice palate, medium tannin that settled in rather quickly. 2nd day: smoke, dark licorice and asphalt to the nose with blackberries and perfect tannin to the palate. Very pleasant, but held back to the palate. Perhaps in its prime now, or close to it. 3rd day: licorice creosote on the nose and similar to the palate, tannins beautifully incorporated.
