Saturday, August 20, 2011 - PnP drank some at lunch with a diavola pizza from Pizza Vita in Shorthills. Thought it was a fabulous chianti (pizza was great too).

Had the last half glass later that night. Color on the dark side for chianti. Earthy porcini and kirsch aroma. Medium weight with espresso tannins. Flavors mirror the aroma, Nice plummy mid-palate. Lingering finish of clover and sour cherries. I would guess (wrongly it turns out) it has some "other" grapes in the mix but still unmistakably italian. Very tasty.
