Friday, May 3, 2013 - I know this is an entry level BdM, so my expectations should not be high. Decanted for 4 hours prior to consumption, this wine was very boring. Nose: grapes. Palate: more grapes. Tannins absent, so I don't know how this gets better with age. You might be thinking, as I have been told by a snobbish Napa wine proprietor, that I have a crap palate or that my palate was impaired.
I had SMWS 2.74 (Glenlivet) for dessert and it had four distinct flavor layers. Outstanding whisky that helped to put this wine into an even bleaker perspective.
