Sunday, December 13, 2015 - Cork soaked right through and the end of the corks thick with blackened residue. A slight musty smell on opening, but from the start the palate is full of life. A clear meniscus and bricking in to the wine. There's a little VA on the nose with some cherry and sous bois. The palate is where you can tell the grand cry quality as it's still very intense cherry with a dash of leather and animale, quite elegant and not wild at all. There's still decent acidity and the finish goes on for a good minute. Lovely stuff from a soso vintage.
