The 1986 Clos de Tart was strangely too old and volatile, one would wonder its storage condition. Tasted blind - rustic and slight vegetal note of Burgundy from a cool vintage in the 80s. Meaty with fully mature fruits. 1987? Vosne Romanee / Morey Saint Denis? (70/100)

Pnp. The nose is floral with sweet fruit, flowers, earth, and blood. Palate is soft with some sweetness. A good mature burg that should be consumed now. 90-91

Stunning deep purple red wine. This is a child in time - still tannic but just beginning to get into balance. Nose of cherries, red peppers, strawberries, mushrooms and spices. Definitely both fiery and fine, with a long time still to go. Probably best from 2020 but starting to drink amazingly well!

Cork soaked right through and the end of the corks thick with blackened residue. A slight musty smell on opening, but from the start the palate is full of life. A clear meniscus and bricking in to the wine. There's a little VA on the nose with some cherry and sous bois. The palate is where you can tell the grand cry quality as it's still very intense cherry with a dash of leather and animale, quite elegant and not wild at all. There's still decent acidity and the finish goes on for a good minute. Lovely stuff from a soso vintage.

Good mature burgundy with exotic spices on the nose but lacking a little depth and length for a grand cru
