Monday, August 22, 2016 - Cantina Bartolo Mascarello Vertical (Hearth Restaurant, NYC): [Double-decanted at about 10am.] Mulchy decadent nose with notes of cherries, tar, balsam, and licorice. Gorgeous and sweet in the mouth with a long, tart, surprisingly fresh sour cherry finish. Wow. A great bottle of this wine.
