Wednesday, September 23, 2015 - Accessed with Coravin. Medium-light citrine color, starting to take on a faintly amber hue. Full nose of ripe honeydew melon and a faint whiff of latex. The palate starts broad, with a generously rich mouthfeel. Accents of butterscotch and a nearly smoky stoniness emerge. This wine somehow regains its focus midway across the palate, zipping down the back of the tongue in a final acidic sprint. Plenty enjoyable now but still coming together, I am grateful to have enough bottles to enjoy through the middle of the next decade.
