Saturday, September 22, 2018 - Excellent. I love this style of Sauvignon Blanc with the French ak influence balancing the grassy fruit character that dominates NZ and Aussie styles. Very restrained and nuanced. 14.5% alc. but not obvious.
Colour: pale straw
Bouquet: floral, touch of lemon and lemongrass, slightly smokey
Palate: a bit more intense than the nose, similar characters to nose though, very clean, balanced acid and long finish. Minerals. Buttery/creamy. Complex and very drinkable. Opens out as it breathes, with melon and pineapple characters.
