Monday, January 7, 2019 - To me a very enjoyable fully mature wine -not tired or already downhill- but a wine which should be drank very soon.
Nose smelled of brett in way I can tolerate and enjoy, it screamed OLD WORLD... As to origin or grape variety I was baffled... The nose had similarities to Left Bank but the structure of the wine on the palate which was rather thin did not warrant Bordeaux. What then? A Loire Cab Franc?
Truth is that brett masked origin and variety...
Still it was a very enjoyable and quaffable wine, medium body, tannins resolved but still well balanced.
What can I say, I really liked it...
