Sunday, August 14, 2011 - Decanted 60 minutes before dinner of bacon-wrapped pork with dates. Was closed at first, but opened with essence of plums and currant. Was not as "jammy" as many Mondavi wines; more reminiscent of their reserve label - but without the typical fruit-forward flavors. Much more of a traditional Cab with mint, eucalyptus and green pepper. Short finish.
