Wednesday, February 10, 2021 - Gevrey-Chambertin ("Downtown") 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Maybe not the most handsome or elegant Gevrey 1er Cru, but this is completely engaging and enthralling with so much back fruit, meaty character and woodsy spice. Some awkward elbows come through, but so much power and complexity. Great now with possible upside. Bravo!
