Friday, December 6, 2013 - A superb wine! Tonight the Chante Le Merle sings beautifully with an array of dark mature fruits, roasted almonds, leather, garrigue, sweet licorice and provencal herbs. The texture and complexity is impressive as is the integration of the different components. The palate is full-bodied with exceptional length and vivid, vibrant texture. The acidity is very nice, but not overly expressed. There is no sign of heat very much improving the overall impression. Integration between the different components seems to be emerging as time passes by. Altogether a lovely effort! (Without the slightest doubt, the score is 95 tonight.)
