Wednesday, May 9, 2012 - I bought over a case of this wine back in '04 as a QPR wine and enjoyed most of the bottles within the first two years. Paid ~ $20 per. Decided to hold a few bottles back to see how the wine would age. Tonight we are drinking the last bottle and I have to say the wine is still going strong. The color is a beautiful garnet with absolutely no browning or bricking apparent. The nose is very fruity with black cherry, spice and licorice. On the palate the wine is by no means young but it is certainly not at all over-the-hill. Balanced with integrated flavors of dark fruits, blackberry, cherry and spice. Medium finish. I would say this wine has enough backbone to hold at least for a few more years. I am happy to have tried this little experiment and find myself wishing that I had held a few more of these to see just how long the wine would hold.
