Tuesday, November 22, 2011 - Somewhat cloudy burnished red. Strawberry,spiced raspberry and vanilla nose. Light to medium bodied, sharp but slightly astringent cherries, leather, a little green pepper, woody tannins, good acid, and a medium finish with a touch of bitterness. Interesting, but there's probably a good reason the Italians never combined these 2 varietals.
