Robert Parker isn't kidding when he described some of the top 89s as backward and stubborn. Even now, this wine is a tad to young to drink. It's complexities have yet to come through. Cherry by far dominates the flavor profile. Its backbone allows for a variety of food pairings, complimenting dinner very nicely. It started to open up after nearly 2 hours; try decanting or waiting even longer.
