Sunday, October 30, 2011 - The fill was into the neck and the cork was sound; a pristine bottle. A dark ruby-red core, turning towards blood red at the rim. Notes of crushed dried dark (berry) fruits, briar patch, broken stones; hints of tobacco and leather. Medium bodied, with good grip, depth and balance. Lacking a bit in terms of complexity. My best experience yet with the '89 Troplong Mondot, but I was still disappointed.
