Sunday, September 19, 2021 - As per previous notes this is becoming a bit of a lottery, and it doesn't seem to have the structure for the long haul. Unfortunately this bottle was giving glimpses of over age, but was still highly enjoyable. I have rated this as high as 97 previously, but it has become "lucky and unlucky" bottles. Ironically it still needs a couple of hours in the decanter to blow away any barnyard funk.

    3/14/2022 8:57:00 AM - In my experience, it has much more to do with the corks. I honestly think that corks are the enemy in any wine over 10 years of bottle age.
