Saturday, July 8, 2023 - An Impromptu Wine Night (Mostly Rhones) (Los Olivos, CA): I approached this bottle with some trepidation, given the massive variability which has characterized this case, but for once we were in luck. Clean and fruit-forward, laden with notes of smoked meat, plum, spice and flower petals. The mid-palate was a bit hollow, and the fruit was drying on the finish, small complaints after 2+ decades.
