Saturday, June 17, 2023 - It’s possible to like a wine and find it somewhat disappointing. Such is the case here:

The nose started off deep and meaty. In an hour or so it changed to black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and baking spices. It mostly stayed this way—big and youthful.

The same could not be said for the palate, which came across muddled up front and stunted (perhaps by the oak) on the back palate. Maybe this just needs a little more time to develop—
