Saturday, February 7, 2015 - Included in a church fundraiser wine-tasting and finished at home over two weeks. Pretty but cloudy dark amber color, looks denser than the 10-year old Tawny from the same producer which had a shimmering lighter amber color. Nutty and wood-influenced aroma. Flavors of toffee caramel, dried fruits, and nuts. Not overly "hot" on palate or throat. I like this--it is not particularly sweet and I like Tawny Ports on the dryer side. It was a very nice match with almond cake and also with pecans and walnuts and dried fruits. I also like Tawny Ports with traditional crème brulee or pumpkin crème brulee or pecan pie and perhaps with flan/crème caramel (I haven't tried this pairing yet.) I liked it much better than the Taylor Fladgate 10-year Tawny Port
