Thursday, October 19, 2023 - Cracking the whip; 10/16/2023-10/23/2023 (Eagan, MN): N: Pink floral notes with light blueberry notes, crushed stones and light dried earth.

P: Light red fruits with such grace and some speed, slightly savory bark with dried earth, and light steeped tea and savory minerals on the finish. Quite elegant.

Graceful and elegant but might be a little too supple in this showing. Then again, we’ve had quite a few wines already of both old and new wines at this point and that may have affected my palate by now.

Fwiw.....I'm finding my palate does not like the mix of Old World and New World at the same tasting.....I'm trying my best as I get older to limit most tastings to wines of similar age/style but it isn't always possible. Cheers!

For this tasting, I really tried to pay attention to that and not let that get in the way, but even then, sometimes it just does. I don't think it got me in this tasting at all, surprisingly.

However, one thing for sure is, you must go from dry to sweet lol. That much I learned from a separate tasting.
