Saturday, March 26, 2016 - Pnp after a 85 Poggio al Vento turned out oxidized. This is the single vineyard Brunello from Caparzo in a good 4 star Brunello vintage. Healthy garnet color without noticeable bricking. An aromatic and soft wine with plenty of herbs and flowers combined with dark fruit. A feminine style, if one can ever describe Brunello as feminine. With more air some tannins appear but the wine remains rather smooth. Medium finish. Very good and nice surprise as my experience with mature Brunello is a bit hit and miss.
