Friday, July 14, 2023 - Opened for two hours, decanted for two more. I've been sitting on this one bottle for many years, and was thrilled to finally open it, as it met all expectations. Beautifully mature, lots going on: the first half sip seemed almost salty and mineral-driven, then the complex fruit flavors moved in, and from there every sip was a delight. Paired with grilled Prime NY strip steak. Looking forward to trying my 2009s! Someday...
