Saturday, November 9, 2013 - Very dark hue with crimson tints. Profound nose with delicate oak and roasted coffee scents and notes of graphite, cherries, currants and cassis. Very aromatic and intense. There is more of the same on the palate with notes of leather, a wonderful fullness melted tannins and fruit that is starting to show through even though the finish is still very oaked. Loads of fresh acidity and a clean tart cherry aftertaste. Classically framed claret with elegance and grip and a long, satisfying finish. Typically I would suggest drinking this wine within the next five to eight years. However, I suspect this wine has the potential to age well and might be cellared for a much longer period in order to gain maturity and additional character.
