Wednesday, May 6, 2015 - Bright yellow. Nose of brown baking spices, sponti, and talcy yellow fruits. Palate echoes this with gooseberries, grapefruit and currants, perfectly bracing acidity, and the lovely low sweetness of the vintage and producer. Beautifully balanced, this has a decade or maybe two, and is close to a true Kabinett, but still leans towards a Spatlese of old. Very, very good, I'd say this is just starting its peak run. Bottle #1 of 2.
