  Good moment for this. Expressive, elegant, bit sponti on nose. Just hint of aging notes. Only off note was that finish showed more sweetness than expected for this level and tired out the palate after a few glasses.

  Bright yellow. Nose of brown baking spices, sponti, and talcy yellow fruits. Palate echoes this with gooseberries, grapefruit and currants, perfectly bracing acidity, and the lovely low sweetness of the vintage and producer. Beautifully balanced, this has a decade or maybe two, and is close to a true Kabinett, but still leans towards a Spatlese of old. Very, very good, I'd say this is just starting its peak run. Bottle #1 of 2.

  Clean and pure aromas that are starting to take on a mature tone - the fruit has receded a bit and the minerality is pungent. The overall impression is wispy and delicate, but with plenty of substance. Lovely.
