85 Points

Monday, April 2, 2012 - After Loek's 2003 Bond Vecina and 2008 Corton-Charlemagne from Bonneau du Martray it was
his turn to tast blind the Climens 1970. No sauternes was his guess, and in fact he should have been right.
The wine has lost too much sweetness and showed his age.
But than came the dessert of John Halvemaan, beautiful and soft black chocolate with slightly caramelized orange,
simply but perfect, and the Climens came in a second youth and supported perfectly this dish.
So for once, the wine was worth 90+ point, but to be honest, under normal conditions it is an enjoyable wine
with an amazing lively colour, but recognizable at age.
