Great earthy nose with just an occasional hint of mushroom or truffle amid cooked fruit. Excellent fruit still on the front an mid palette. Soft tannins still present. this would have lasted a bit longer. But a great wine for an evening of relaxation on the porch watching the sunset. Still have a bit of a buzz. wish it wasn't my last bottle. Overall great bottle of wine. I think 2000 has gotten a bad rap if you have been able to let it lay down until now. It is showing it chops.
