Fleshy garnet, showing some browning evolution, opaque but still compact rim.
Traces of that famous Pauillac scent of smoke, tobacco, slightly farm yard funk, woodsy, elevated by red berry fruits.
On the palate, this is round and well integrated. Med plus acid, med tannin, med bodied, and dry. Sweet red fruits, prum, and dry fig. Dry tea leaf. Slightly chocolatey. Still some new oaky vibe lingering but not at all intrusive. Decent length on the finish.
Decent Left Banker that won't break your bank. Nothing exciting but it doesn't disappoint either. Drink now and in the next 5 years. 89.
