  • Black fruits, leather, tar and a touch of vanilla. Good stuff

  • 50 M, 32 CS, balanced out with droplets of PV and CF

Fleshy garnet, showing some browning evolution, opaque but still compact rim.

Traces of that famous Pauillac scent of smoke, tobacco, slightly farm yard funk, woodsy, elevated by red berry fruits.

On the palate, this is round and well integrated. Med plus acid, med tannin, med bodied, and dry. Sweet red fruits, prum, and dry fig. Dry tea leaf. Slightly chocolatey. Still some new oaky vibe lingering but not at all intrusive. Decent length on the finish.

Decent Left Banker that won't break your bank. Nothing exciting but it doesn't disappoint either. Drink now and in the next 5 years. 89.

  • From magnum, needed plenty of air to come around. Very good, ready to drink.

  • Focused fragrant cedar, ripe blackberries, dry herbs, bell pepper and stony earth on the nose. Quite elegant and layered nose. Palate follows the nose, dry yet smooth from entry to mid-palate with a energetic and long firm finish. The mid-palate turned somewhat savoury after an hour in the decanter but well balanced. Can still keep for another 3 yrs.

Re-tasted in Jan 2024. A balanced and refined bouquet and palate. Gentle black fruits, complemented with layers of spices and dried herbs filled the medium-bodied from entry to finish which is clean and fresh. At its peak now and will continue hold for the next 2-3 years. To increase score by 1 pt.
