Sunday, September 6, 2015 - Over the hill. Not completely gone, but heading toward the nursing home. Tannins gone and fruit still there but somewhat oxidized.
Not what I typically see from this producer (long-lived, somewhat austere style with restrained fruit and a lot of tannic structure). Drink up now.

12/16/2015 4:02:00 PM - Sometimes I find Bordeaux of similar age benefit a lot from aeration for a couple of hours or more. Does the fact that this wine is "over the hill" imply that it had rather NOT be aerated at all?
