90 Points

Tuesday, February 16, 2016 - Opaque garnet in color with visible bricking. The bottle showed sediment on the shoulder. A nose of Bing cherry, dried cranberry, blueberry, garrigue, white truffle, forest floor, and dried herbs de Provence/lavender. The palate is grainy with notes of dried cherry and cranberry, plum skin, garrigue, dried mint, eucalyptus, caviar, bacon, moss, dried lavender, and saddle leather. Tannins are well integrated and velvety. Medium body and medium finish. At the end of its drinking window, if not already passed and on it’s down slope
