Thursday, July 16, 2020 - Incredibly dark staining purple in appearance with no visible signs of ageing. Cooked black fruits and spice on the nose. Smooth but powerful on the palate with blackberries, plum, cedar and tobacco flavours, a certain amount of sweetness from the fruit but also lovely freshness from the Viognier in the blend. The wine is fresh with good acidity and soft tannins. Medium to medium-long finish. Drunk over dinner with roast chicken.
