Thursday, October 31, 2013 - We decanted the wine for one hour before we poured the first glass. It was opaque dark ruby in colour and threw some sediment. The wine offered black currant, blackberry, cherry reduction, plum, candies, fruit cake, bell pepper, chocolate, spices, creamy vanilla, tobacco and cigar box on sweet nose. On the palate the wine showed black currant, cherry, blackberry, blueberry, fruit cake, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper and clove, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-plus firm, well-integrated tannin, a creamy mouthfeel and very good length. The oak was well-integrated. A full-bodied, tight, dense, concentrated, powerful Cabernet. I would recommend decanting for at least one hour. Start drinking from 2014.
