Tuesday, January 7, 2020 - Served in a Zalto Universal. 1018 hPa, Root.

Pale gold with a light yellow rim. Everything about this wine was intense, in the best way. An extremely chalky nose gets bolstered by a pleasant reduction, with orchard fruits, lemon/lime citrus, and asian pear. The palate is expansive and dazzling. Chalky minerality is balanced by intense extracted orchard fruit and incredible acidity. Some lovely white flowers and a touch of chamomile. Textually, the acid here is very high, but perfectly balanced. Dense, but lithe and elegant. In an incredible window now, but I can see this continue to evolve beautifully. A truly magnificent white burgundy.
