Friday, September 25, 2009 - The nose is fabulous - opulent and fragrant. It's let down by the taste, sadly, which is too sweet and lacking in both acidity and complexity to elevate this above a basic table wine. A greengage jam character dominates, which is delicious, but not enough. There's a little too much alcohol apparent, though I was still surprised by the abv stated on the bottle.
