Tuesday, July 12, 2005 - A nice Bordeaux and a great deal at the price. This was tight on night one with strong tannins and acid covering cool cherry fruit and mineral earth. By night two, the tannins had released the death-grip, but the acids remained strong. This worked out very well, as the wine was served with some strongly-flavoured appetizers and held its own quite well. For a basic QPR Bordeaux, I'm surprised at how youthful this is still. No fear of this going over the hill in the near term.
