Monday, October 7, 2013 - Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Louis Latour Grand Cru 2007 (Rodwell House): The wine is a medium yellow colour with complex aromas of oatmeal and minerals.
Finely focussed, there is a power to the core of the wine and flavours of spicy and toasty oak mixed with creme fraiche and underpinned by a mineral-racy acidity. Reasonably robust, the wine has vigour and lift, poise, and elegance. There is plenty of depth with mid-palate depth concentration. A long, lingering farewell with notes of crushed stones, minerals, and a fine oatmeal texture.
