Light gold to mid-yellow A penetrating savoury nose with minerals, powdered rocks, rock scree, smoke, flint and burnt match. Has saline, salted note too. The entry is fresh, racy and with a saline purity. Incredible weight in the mouth and depth to the flavour make it an utterly compelling wine with fantastic persistence on the back palate. Superb wine that opens to reveal stone fruits and savoury elements. there is immense power here, an outstanding balance underpinned by the racy acidity and plethora of minerals, struck match and fruits.

Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Louis Latour Grand Cru 2007 (Rodwell House): The wine is a medium yellow colour with complex aromas of oatmeal and minerals. Finely focussed, there is a power to the core of the wine and flavours of spicy and toasty oak mixed with creme fraiche and underpinned by a mineral-racy acidity. Reasonably robust, the wine has vigour and lift, poise, and elegance. There is plenty of depth with mid-palate depth concentration. A long, lingering farewell with notes of crushed stones, minerals, and a fine oatmeal texture.

Nose of rubber, funk,, mushroom, interesting for a Chardonnay. Palate is delicate, with touches of vanilla bean.
