The nose was more subdued than I had expected but very complex with yeast, ginger and that strange coolness that you get with half-bottles of the grande cuvee. (creme fraiche perhaps?) The palate showed this to be a big wine with vanilla and a finish that lasts for ages. Reminds me of the Bollinger style but with a kind of almost milkiness on the mid palate. I got this wine in a very good deal. Sadly with the way that prices are heading this is probably my last and first bottle of vintage Krug. : (
