But under all that matiere, there is still an important line of acidity that keeps this Champagne interesting and aging well. There are signs of maturity now with some significant mushroom, yeasty and toasty notes. The wine is certainly not in decline, but might have reached a peak that should last many years. Delicious drinking right now.
