Thursday, October 21, 2021 - Straight cork but plenty of pressure, fully sparkling in the glass. Mid gold. Concentrated, rather creamy aroma, a little butterscotch, then coffee and citrus zest. Bright tangerine fruit flavour, quite structured, with mild salinity. Some maturity on the nose but a more youthful palate, this is holding up well. Pretty good the next day, with a lovely aroma of pear. A good producer in a middling vintage is usually a good bet. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; purchased at auction for £100 plus fees].
