Friday, June 4, 2010 - Clear, garnet red. Fragrant nose of blackberry, black currants, cocoa, coffee, green pepper, herbs, forest floor and pepper. Medium bodied wine, but at 13.5% alcohol, lighter than most cabs. Palate is very similar to the nose, however, lead not as much with the blackberry fruit (which is still there), but with a spicy herbaceous character of green pepper, black olives and tobacco. Very well integrated tannins and great length on this wine.
