Tuesday, December 19, 2017 - This was ravishingly and energetically tight and closed tonight right from the bottle. The juice is inky ruby purple, and there were prominent dusty tannins on the finish, which closes off sharply at the moment. Mesquite and berry aromas leap from the glass, and there's quite a large, polished, and mature frutti di bosco note. A slight chill flattered this baby. I have a few more bottles and will wait 5 years at a minimum. Patience for this wonderfully traditional beast!
