Wow, yes, bottle variation! I opened a bottle of this (from the same source!) two months ago and it was completely dead, flat, brown, no fruit, baking spices, and caramel. Maybe heat damaged, or just too old? BUT this bottle tonight was zippy, savory, and tense, with tart cranberries, pomegranate, nutmeg, green pine, citrus, and leather. A salty feral Burgundy for red Northern Rhône lovers.
