Sunday, November 6, 2011 - Deep wine with impressive depth of fruit and structure. Chocolatey palate with black fruit finish. If this was a Bordeaux we would say "Why open at this young age". For some reason we seem to think differently about SA reds. This just needs another 5 years to let the fruit ease off a touch. There is a peppery, crunchy finish that becomes more pronounced as the wine breathes. Good, but has the guts to improve with age.
